What does it mean to be in a higher vibration?

You must have heard before: everything in life is vibration. We know we’re made of flesh, muscles and organs but at the micro-level, we’re also made up of vibration energy. Cells are composed of atoms which are made of particles and particles are actually just vibrating energy. So what does it means to be in a high or low vibration? When we vibrate at a low frequency, everything feels heavy, and stagnant whereas when we vibrate at a high frequency we feel lighter and more at ease. So why is it important to try and raise our vibration? What are the ways to raise your vibration?

When you vibrate at a low frequency, your energy is denser. You may experience physical pain and discomfort, heavy emotions, confusion and sluggish thinking. You might have a hard time figuring out what you want, setting clear objectives and accomplishing them. You might go through life challenges and can’t seem to see the end of it. Overall, your life takes on a negative quality. Lower vibrational energy often is associated with emotions like sadness, depression or even stress.

When you vibrate at a high frequency, you feel ease and flow in your physical, emotional and spiritual bodies. Your energy is full of light and positive energies like love, happiness and joy. You may experience synchronicities and manifest what you desire. Your actions and your intentions are in synch, overall your life takes on a positive quality.

One important thing to know is that everyone has the capacity to raise their frequency. You can travel back and forth between highs and lows but you can change the frequency your body vibrates at.

Stand in your power

First thing first, when you vibrate at a high frequency you will have to accept people around you might not be at the same level as you. When you choose to vibrate at a high frequency, you act as an example, a source of inspiration for others. You have to stand in your power and commit to it even when you realize you do not fit in anymore. As you keep on raising your energy, you will necessarily shed some parts of yourself, the ones that do not serve you any longer. The same applies to people and situations that do not support your growth; it is natural to set some boundaries or even to let these people of things go.

Meditation

Practising meditation involves an act of coming inwards, cutting the noise of the world and connecting with our inner truth. When the mind quiets down, we can see more clearly that all that really matters is the present moment. When we slow down and observe our own thoughts, we can detach from them and access a space of flow and bliss. You can incorporate affirmations into your meditation to set intentions. You can use the healing power of sound in meditation to raise your energy frequencies. Aromatherapy

Scent is our strongest sense, though we often underestimate the power of smell to improve our well-being and raise our vibration. Using essential oils and aromatherapy can help us experience different emotions and even influence our brain, especially the limbic system which is responsible for emotion, behaviour and motivation. Different smells have different effects; smells like eucalyptus, lavender or chamomile have a calming quality as opposed to citrus, and peppermint scents which have a more energising quality.
